World's Biggest IPv6: Built by China

BEIJING, Apr 16, 2009 -- China has built up the biggest next-generation Internet layer protocol Internet Protocol Version 6 (Ipv6) in the world, said Hu Qiheng, head for the Internet Society of China (ISC), on April 15, 2009.
As its next step, the country will strengthen R&D on Ipv6 terminals and platforms in a bid to promote the trial commercial operation of the next-generation protocol, according to Mr. Hu. China sets an aim to bring the number of Ipv6 users to more than 500,000 for trial commercial operation before the end of 2010.

Economic Slow-Down Affects Business Telephony Shipments in 2008

As a result of worldwide economic downturn, global line shipments were down 6 percent compared to 2007, new research published by T3i Group has found.
The report, “Global Info Track for Enterprise Communications Full Year 2008 Report,” states that the price per line also decreased significantly. Last year, global manufacturer revenues totaled $15.2 billion, which is a dip of 8 percent from 2007.
